Use foam hearts for a variety of learning activities. Write letters on each one so that children can spell their name or put the letters in ABC order. Younger children can sort the hearts by color. Write numbers on the hearts and put hearts in number order. So many possibilities!
Use regular kitchen sponges and cut them into heart shapes. Provide small amount of paint in plate and allow children to make heart stamps! Children can also trace the stamps - great for fine motor skills.
